Reflecting on the finitude of life has brought me much more than an end point. It directed my attention, thoughtfully and carefully, towards life and everything that will happen until it no longer is.

Memento Mori is the Latin expression for designating that we are finite. The farewell of the life was captured by the photographer Fernando Jorge in wakes, burials and tombs of several cemeteries. The book brought together the most representative selection of photos in the four years of photographic research.

Black-and-white photos make the path between light and shadow, and as the pages pass by, the scenes become empty until finally there is no one. The design of the book was made for Vibri Design e Branding, in partnership with the designer Maísa Moreira.
